Science Technician
A Mixed Secondary School in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to support its successful Science department. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-resourced environment where practical science is an important part of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons by preparing equipment, materials and resources for practical activities. You will ensure laboratories remain safe, organised and fully equipped while assisting staff in delivering engaging and effective science lessons.
Responsibilities include preparing practical experiments, maintaining equipment, monitoring stock levels, ordering resources and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also support the maintenance and development of laboratory facilities across the department.
The school is looking for an organised and proactive individual with strong practical skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in a laboratory, technical or educational environment would be advantageous.
