M&E Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Sector
📍 Location: Bridgend, South Wales
About the Role
Due to continued sustainable growth in 2025, OCU Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Project Manager to join our dynamic team in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of key infrastructure projects within the water and wastewater sector, working on behalf of major UK water companies.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.
* Lead internal and external reporting to ensure stakeholders are informed.
* Promote best practices and continuous improvement through workshops and reviews.
* Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections and enforce legislative compliance.
* Collaborate with Contracts Managers and Design Teams to meet client specifications.
* Engage with clients to gather feedback and secure design approvals.
* Coordinate all project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
* Develop and maintain project programmes, milestones, and deliverables.
* Maintain financial control, including budget tracking and variation management.
* Procure labour and third-party services within budget constraints.
Qualifications
* SMSTS and CSCS certifications (or equivalent)
* First Aid at Work certificate
* IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
* Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable)
* Full UK Driver’s Licence
