Newstaff Employment Services is excited to offer a position for a Production Operative - Factory at our Hitchin location. In this integral role, you will be actively involved in the production process, helping to ensure that our manufacturing operations run efficiently and safely.
As a Production Operative, your key responsibilities will include operating machinery, assembling products, and conducting quality control checks. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to work in a fast-paced factory environment. Key Responsibilities
* Operate and tend to production machinery in compliance with safety regulations.
* Assemble products with precision according to specifications.
* Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure product quality.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs.
* Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues during the production process.
* Participate in training and onboarding of new team members as necessary.
Requirements
* Experience in a factory or production environment is an advantage but not strictly required.
* Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures and production guidelines.
* Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work different shifts as required by the operation.
* Dependable and punctual, with a positive attitude towards work.
* Understanding of health and safety practices in a factory environment is beneficial.
