With a growing caseload and strong reputation, they are looking to expand their team with a skilled and motivated Housing Disrepair Solicitor. Role Overview You will manage a litigated caseload of Housing Disrepair claims, working with a dedicated support team. The role requires strong litigation experience, drafting skills, and the ability to handle cases from instruction through to settlement or trial. Key Responsibilities Managing a caseload of Housing Disrepair (HDR) claims, from pre-litigation to trial. Drafting and reviewing pleadings, witness statements, instructions to counsel, and other legal documents. Conducting legal research and staying up to date with housing law developments. Negotiating settlements and advising clients on case prospects and outcomes. Attending hearings and case management conferences when required. Working collaboratively with fee earners, paralegals, and support staff. Delivering excellent client care, ensuring clear communication and empathetic support throughout the claim process. Key Requirements Qualified Solicitor (3–8 PQE preferred, though strong applicants outside this range considered). Proven litigation experience in Housing Disrepair. Strong drafting skills with attention to detail. Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, target-driven environment. Strong organisational and time management skills.
