You'll be instrumental in driving and embedding enhancements across systems & controls, governance, management information (MI), and operational risk management, ensuring the firm meets regulatory expectations. Job Description JOB TITLE: Trading Controls Manager LOCATION: London and Edinburgh HOURS: Fulltime - 35 hours per week WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites in Edinburgh or London. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Owning and E nhancing the Trading Controls Operational Risk Management F ramework for the financial markets facing businesses within Lloyds Banking Group, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Leading R isk I dentification and A ssessment across T rading Products p rocess w orkflows, s ettlements processes, and internal and external trading platforms, embedding robust controls and reporting. Advising on R isk I mplications of N ew P roducts and I nitiatives, partnering with front office trading and sales teams, Markets Operations, Compliance, and Markets Platform (Technology) Teams. Driving C ontinuous I mprovement in control design, automation, and operational resilience, utilising data analytics and emerging technologies. Monitoring and C hallenging R isk Trigger Reporting, raising material issues to Risk and Control Owners and providing actionable insights to senior management and governance forums. Championing a S trong R isk C ulture within the CIB CCO and LBCM, helping to deliver training and awareness programmes to embed accountability and best practice. Collaborating G lobally utilising specific experience in UK / US / EU regulatory requirements, to ensure alignment of risk frameworks across jurisdictions KEY DELIVERABLES Comprehensive R isk A ssessments and R isk Reporting System O utputs for Markets activities, with documented mitigation strategies and control enhancements. Timely D elivery of R emediation /Action P lans for identified control gaps, supported by root cause analysis and sustainable solutions. Data-driven R isk R eporting and D ashboards for senior partners and colleagues, including trend analysis and emerging risk insights. Identification and Implementation of A utomated and P reventative C ontrols, reducing manual intervention and operational incidents. Governance Material Collation and Articulation of risk positions, control effectiveness, and regulatory compliance status. Stress testing and S cenario A nalysis to validate resilience under adverse market conditions. Evidence of E mbedding R isk C ulture, through training completion metrics and feedback loops.
