About me
I am a lady in her late 40's who has a variable illness with differing day to day needs. I am looking for a temporary PA to join a small team to support me in living as independently as possible in my own home.
I believe a smile and laughter helps to get through most situations, however the illness I have does get me down sometimes. Therefore I'm looking for a PA with a great sense of humour but who also has a caring side and great empathy too.
I love to get out of the house as much as my condition allows. I have a passion for live music, trips to the cinema, theatre and love the great outdoors. I also love fast cars, crafting, cooking and travelling around the world.
Having a rapport with my PA's is extremely important to me. I'm looking to find a companion in a PA as well as a carer. Having a PA with similar interests to my owns a bonus but I'm always open to new interests.
Hours and rate of pay
£12.21 per hour
Cover required for 3/4 days a week – days and nights (to be arranged)

What you would be doing…
Support is required during both days and nights
Day support for all aspects of life. From going out to socialise to repositioning and feeding.
Some days this will include minimal assistance and other days full assistance.
Other duties needed.
Cooking, dressing, paperwork and light household duties.
Waking night support would be varied. Some nights you may have to stay with me all night giving drinks, medication, monitor breathing & temperature, repositioning, helping with pain etc.
Other nights you would need to leave me to sleep but regular check-ups are required. During these nights, PA's are required to do any household duties, paper work or laundry/ironing (minimal laundry/ironing).

The person I would like…
I am looking for someone with a great sense of humour but also sensitive to someone's needs and what's going on around them.
The PA needs to have empathy and be kind. I need someone to think on their feet and can use their own initiative but also have great communication skills to keep me in the loop.
You should be trustworthy, reliable, punctual, flexible, able to take instruction and also be happy to able to work on your own and/or part of a team.
You should be able to work both day and night shifts.
