Proven track record delivering end-to-end IT audits and IT SOX programmes. Comfortable operating autonomously and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority. Solid understanding of IT risk and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001). Experience designing audit programmes and performing detailed controls testing. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, or CIA are highly desirable. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues for non-technical senior audiences. Confident, resilient, and pragmatic when handling sensitive or challenging topics. High integrity and strong professional judgement. Adaptable and comfortable working within a fast-changing IT environment. Responsibilities: Lead the full lifecycle of IT audits, from planning through reporting, across a diverse technology estate. Own IT SOX compliance activities, including testing, remediation oversight, and reporting to senior stakeholders. Act as the primary liaison for IT audit matters with senior technology leaders, business stakeholders, and external auditors. Deliver audits covering major system implementations and change programmes, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and cloud environments, and core IT processes, governance, and controls. Produce clear, concise audit reports suitable for Board-level audiences and present findings with confidence. Conduct annual IT risk assessments and support development of the strategic audit plan. Lead small teams of auditors or contractors on specific engagements.
