Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining food safety standards. As a supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and support staff development.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
* Train and mentor baristas in beverage preparation, customer service, and food safety practices.
* Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and serving areas.
* Assist in the preparation of food items and beverages while maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the workspace.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
* Implement time management strategies to optimise workflow during peak hours.
* Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory using basic math skills.
Experience
* Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role within the food service industry is essential.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is highly desirable.
* Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
