We have a variety of roles available across different teams, including: Community-Based Treatment Services:
Provide assessments, coordinate treatment, and deliver structured psycho-social interventions to help individuals develop the skills they need for lasting change. Homeless Outreach Provision:
Target homeless individuals with flexible outreach responses, supporting those who are sleeping rough or living in temporary accommodation. Criminal Justice Rehabilitation/Recovery Services:
Collaborate with Probation Services, Prisons, and Police to offer tailored support for recovery and rehabilitation. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Recovery Worker, you will act as a ‘key worker’ for a caseload of service users, guiding them in setting treatment goals and developing actionable plans. Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining regular contact with clients to provide advice, information, and psycho-social interventions. Conducting assessments and risk management planning. Collaborating closely with clinical staff regarding prescribing needs and partner agencies. No two days will be the same! You’ll need to communicate effectively with a diverse range of service users and colleagues, manage multiple tasks, and embody the values of Turning Point. Whether you have lived experience of substance use, mental health, or homelessness, or simply a passion for supporting others, we have a role for you!
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
Previous experience as a Recovery Worker is essential. You should have a solid understanding of substance and alcohol use, along with the challenges faced by individuals on their recovery journey. We also welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including mental health and housing, as many skills are transferable. Key qualities we’re looking for include: Flexibility and the ability to work dynamically, both one-on-one and in group settings. Knowledge of relapse and barriers to recovery. Excellent communication skills and alignment with our organizational values. We value creativity and initiative, and you’ll have the chance to contribute ideas to enhance our services and the user experience. With extensive training and a supportive learning culture, you’ll stay updated on the latest developments in your field.
