Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: WIN09929 B&Q Doncaster Facilities Operative Grade: W1 Reports to: Facilities Manager Business area: General Merchandise Location: B&Q Redhouse, Doncaster Summary and purpose of position: To assist in the general day-to day running of the site engineering operation, carry out first line fixes on non (A)HME equipment, to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum. The role(s) are part of the formation of the in-house facilities team at the B&Q site, Worksop. Duties and responsibilities: To service and maintain the Company’s property and equipment as instructed by the Facilities Manager, in accordance with the set down schedules and manufacturers’ recommendations. To carry out reactive repairs and or fault diagnosis to Company’s property / equipment both indoors and outside the building. The role will involve the use of equipment including power tools/hand tools To comply with standard Health & Safety at Work responsibilities. To work flexible hours commensurate with the needs of the business and those sections using the site. To participate in standby duties and attend the site outside normal working hours in the event of an emergency. To undertake such duties as may be assigned by the Facilities Manager, relating to the safety and operation of the site. Hours of work 40 hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, usual hours 8-4 however flexibility around business needs is required.
