Registered Manager – Children’s Home (2-bed)
Location: Barnsley
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (39 hours/week)
Salary: £46,000 per annum (up to £51,400 with bonuses)
Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a small, two-bed children’s home in Barnsley. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee care in line with legislation, Ofsted standards, and best practice.
* Lead, supervise, and develop the staff team.
* Manage safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance.
* Handle admissions, discharges, rotas, and reporting.
* Liaise with external agencies, commissioners, and professionals.
* Contribute to service development and on-call duties as required.
Requirements
* Experience managing or supervising in a children’s residential setting.
* Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards).
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
* Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
