Lead Senior Lighting & Electrical EngineerLocation: Birmingham, Hybrid, UK flexible locations consideredSalary: £55,000 - £65,000Contract: PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a permanent Lead Senior Lighting & Electrical Engineer to join a Consulting Energy, Lighting & Technology Practice. You will work on major UK infrastructure lighting and technology projects within a large-scale transport renewals programme.You will take a lead role in project delivery, oversee technical outputs, and support the development of a growing team of lighting engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team delivering compliant, technically sound engineering solutionsProduce and check designs, calculations, drawings, and project documentationOversee and support junior engineers' workManage project budgets and commercial performanceLiaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholdersSupport bid preparation and work-winning activitiesEnsure health and safety compliance across all project workAct as main engineering contact on assigned projectsContribute to design reviews and risk managementAct as Principal Designer where requiredSupervise and develop a small technical teamRequirementsExperience in lighting or electrical engineering design deliveryStrong understanding of relevant technical standards and client requirementsKnowledge of transport/roadside infrastructure systems (desirable)Strong experience with CDM Regulations and health & safety managementAbility to manage project risks, budgets, and deliverablesExperience checking technical design outputsCompetent with relevant engineering software/toolsStrong client-facing and communication skillsExperience mentoring or managing engineersChartered or Incorporated Engineer status (desirable or contract-dependent)Senior Engineer level experience or equivalentBenefitsFlexible and hybrid working arrangementsCareer development and structured progressionSupport toward professional qualificationsPension scheme24+ days holiday plus bank holidaysHealth and wellbeing supportEmployee discount schemeVolunteering and social value opportunitiesIf you receive suspicious outreach claiming to be from us, please contact us via the ManpowerGroup website.TPBN1_UKTJ
