Electronics Engineer
Location: Stockport Area (Hybrid Work from Home Available)
Salary: Up to £60,000
KO2’s client, an innovative engineering company based in the Stockport area, is looking to recruit a talented Electronics Engineer to join their growing R&D team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working across the full product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on electronics design while also contributing to embedded software development.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of electronic hardware for new and existing products. The position is approximately 80% electronics design and 20% embedded software development, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys hardware design but is comfortable contributing to firmware when required.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop robust, high-quality solutions from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits
* Schematic capture and PCB design
* Support product development from concept through to testing and manufacture
* Contribute to embedded C firmware development for microcontroller-based systems
* Debug and test hardware and embedded systems
* Collaborate with other engineers across software, mechanical, and systems teams
Requirements
* Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong experience in electronic circuit design (analogue and digital)
* Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
* Some experience with embedded C programming
* Experience working with microcontrollers
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience with product development for manufacture
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART
* Lab testing and validation experience
