About Ormston School

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will teach small, bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering well-structured lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
* Assessing and reporting on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
* Adapting your teaching methods to cater to the diverse strengths and needs of students.
* Setting high standards that inspire and motivate your pupils.
* Demonstrating strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise.
* Preparing learners for external tests and assessments.
* Teaching across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum and adapting learning for SEND students.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* Strong understanding of child development and learning processes.
* Ability to build effective relationships with pupils and manage classroom behavior.
* Good ICT skills to enhance learning experiences.
