This position runs on a two week schedule working 24 hours one week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 32 hours the next (Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Shift hours vary every two weeks from either 12pm-8pm or 8am-4pm.
Part Time Receptionist
* To be the first point of contact to all visitors and callers to The Boar's Head Inn, Ripley Castle.
* Take reservations for accommodation and dining.
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Meet and greet all visitors to the Inn.
* Manage telephone enquiries.
* Process bookings using Rezlynx software reservations package.
* Forward calls to relevant departments.
* Process email enquiries promptly.
* Liaise with restaurant to manage bookings.
* Prepare guest invoices for morning departure.
* Reconcile till takings and banking.
* Various clerical work for all departments as and when required.
* Adhere to Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of employees and guests at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Excellent telephone and meet and greet skills.
* Impeccable personal appearance.
* Competent in use of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
* Good command of the English language
* Be numerate and competent in basic accountancy procedures.
* Team player
* Have excellent inter-personal skills
* Previous Experience in customer facing roles
Desirable Requirements
* Knowledge of Rezlynx package.

Duties
* Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and professional demeanour.
* Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
* Handle guest enquiries and provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
* Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest information.
* Respond to phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing queries or directing calls as necessary.
* Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Promote hotel services and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
* Ensure the reception area is organised, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
Experience
* Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
* Multilingual skills are highly desirable, particularly bilingual abilities that enhance communication with diverse guests.
* Strong background in guest services with an emphasis on creating memorable experiences.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer care.
* Proficient in using hotel management software and basic computer applications.
* A keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
