Responsibilities
* Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operational performance.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
* Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and machinery as required.
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
* Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruption and optimise equipment availability.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and safety standards.
Qualifications
* Electrical engineering qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent.
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills and knowledge of PLC systems, inverters, and control panels.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Flexibility to work shifts as required to support 24/7 operations.
