PRODUCTION PLANNER VACANCY
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and
monitoring the flow of products through the production cycle. They ensure that
production schedules are met efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining product
quality standards and delivery timelines.
LOCATION:
Crumpsall
WORKING PATTERN:
Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 2:40pm, and Friday, 6:00am – 11:00am.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules for multiple
products to meet customer demands and inventory targets.
• Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and production teams to ensure the
availability of raw materials, components, and resources.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to resolve conflicts,
issues or delays.
• Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine
manufacturing processes and timelines.
• Review and confirm production requirements and ensure timely completion and
booking of completed orders.
• Support Inventory counts (PPI) and manage stock variance adjustments
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, materials usage, and work-in progress.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to provide accurate delivery
dates and updates that can be communicated to the customer, to include trials and
samples.
• Identify production bottlenecks, constraints and coordinate solutions to minimize
downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning,
scheduling, and workflow optimization.
• Prepare and present regular production status and performance reports and KPIs to
stakeholders to include updates on promotional work.
• Develop the systems and role to enable the rapid growth of the production output

REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE ROLE:
• Primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor.
• May require occasional overtime to meet tight deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Higher level qualification ('A' levels, BTEC, Degree in a supply chain, engineering,
Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
EXPERIENCE:
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar role in a
manufacturing environment. FMCG experience is preferable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and material
requirements planning (MRP).
• Experience and proficiency in using SAP would be desirable.
• Proficiency in production planning software and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
