<div><h3>General Porter – Facilities Directorate</h3><p>The Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is looking for a dedicated General Porter to join the Facilities Directorate.</p><p>As a General Porter you will provide an efficient, effective and fully comprehensive portering service across Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. You will work with a team to move patients, equipment, documentation, linen, waste and other items safely and efficiently, ensuring a clean and safe environment in line with Health and Safety, Infection Prevention, Security and all Trust policies and procedures.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Maintain a comprehensive, professional, responsive high‑quality porter service to patients, staff, visitors and all service users.</li><li>Move patients, equipment, documentation, linen, waste, and other items in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe environment and respond to service needs as they arise.</li><li>Undertake necessary duties to ensure an efficient portering service is maintained in patient and non‑patient environments.</li><li>Work in line with Health and Safety, Infection Prevention, Security and all Trust policy and procedures.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Well motivated, hard‑working and able to work as part of a team.</li><li>Previous experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>At least 27 days of annual leave plus public/bank holidays (pro‑rata for part‑time staff).</li><li>Membership in the NHS Pension Scheme, with 20.6% employer contribution and life assurance benefits.</li><li>Blue Light card eligibility.</li><li>Additional benefits available in the benefits documents.</li></ul></div>
