1235 - Clerical Officer Nights - Emergency Department
The hours for this post are 15 per week.
We require ahighly motivated individual to work in our busy Emergency Department reception.You will be required to work with the minimum of supervision and as part of ateam, dealing with all the clerical duties associated with patients attendingthe Emergency Department.
You will work1800-2200 on a rolling rota pattern of 5nights working and 4 nights off. Thiswill include weekends and Bank Holidaysas they fall on the rota.
Applicantsshould possess good communication and organisational skills and be able to workunder pressure. Previous recentreception experience and computer/keyboard skills are essential for thispost.
Main duties of the job
To carry out the full range of specifiedduties in the Emergency Department reception area in order to provide aneffective and efficient clerical support service to the Emergency Department.
Booking of appointments, reschedulingappointments, faxing referrals, booking transport as appropriate and dealingwith enquiries from the general public and staff.
Undertaking reception duties, answeringtelephones, retrieving x-rays and case notes as required.
Photocopying duties, production of EDcards and ED labels.
To assist in the streamlining of allpatients arriving in the Emergency Department utilising communication and ITskills.
