About the Role and Our Ideal Candidate
Purpose of the job: To coordinate preventative services and community hubs to deliver the best outcomes for Kingston’s residents.
What the job actually requires:
* You’ll be the go‑to person for coordinating initiatives around the prevention brief, ensuring the Council’s preventative agenda moves from planning to on‑the‑ground success.
* Day‑to‑day support of the Community Hub model, including scheduling, administration, and ensuring the hubs genuinely meet the needs of residents and partners.
* Collect, monitor, and report on data for all preventative initiatives, providing essential evidence to show the impact of the team’s work.
* Establish and maintain strong ties with external voluntary, community, and statutory organisations to strengthen resource sharing and partnership working.
* Provide key administrative, logistical, and organisational support to the Neighbourhood Manager.
Essential Criteria
To hit the ground running, you must demonstrate excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills, present findings clearly, and negotiate effectively with partners. You should be highly organised, methodical, and detail‑oriented with a proven ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines. This role requires a goal‑oriented individual comfortable working under pressure.
Desirable Criteria
Ideally you will have prior experience successfully working with a range of key stakeholders including residents, businesses, community groups, and public services. A background in championing digital or new ways of working, or promoting service innovation, would also be highly beneficial. You should be someone who is driven by a strong commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
