Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activities Co-ordinator to join our team in providing enriching experiences for residents in our residential care home facilities. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents.
* Coordinate and facilitate group activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings.
* Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are suitable for residents with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
* Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continually improve the activities offered.
* Foster a positive environment by encouraging resident involvement and promoting social connections among residents.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure all parties are informed about upcoming activities and events.
* Provide support and assistance to caregivers as needed during activities.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a care home environment or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
* Proven ability to plan and organise engaging activities that cater to diverse interests.
* Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.75 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
