The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with residents living with dementia
* Have a genuine interest in residents
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively as part of the Activities Team
* Motivate residents to participate
* Have good organisational and time management skills
* Build self-esteem and keep up-to-date with activities
Role and responsibilities include:
* Organise and coordinate activities tailored to residents' needs and abilities, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Book external entertainment providers
* Organise trips in the community, considering transport and accessibility
* Contribute to planning a stimulating activity programme to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintain records of participation and review resident needs
* Maintain a portfolio of activities available within the Home and the community
* Participate in fundraising events as required
General duties:
* Attend staff meetings
* Complete mandatory and developmental training
* Communicate effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
* Practice safe working practices within the Home
