Role: Receptionist
Location: Brighton, East Sussex
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (hours worked above contracted hours are paid as overtime)
Pay: £12.21 - £12.50 per hour
Contract Length: 3 - 6 months
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join one of our longstanding clients, a well-established healthcare provider, operating across multiple practice locations.
This role provides essential reception and administrative support, acting as a key point of contact for patients while supporting the wider healthcare team.
The Requirements:
* Experience working with the general public
* Previous administrative experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office and EMIS Booking System is advantageous
* Clear, professional telephone manner
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach to working hours when required
* Willingness to undertake a DBS check
The Role:
* Acting as the first point of contact for patients, visitors and external organisations
* Greeting and directing patients appropriately
* Managing appointment systems and bookings
* Answering incoming calls and handling enquiries efficiently
* Signposting patients to the correct service or healthcare professional
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Processing registrations, samples and documentation
* Supporting clinical and administrative teams with general tasks
* Ensuring confidentiality and information governance standards are upheld
* Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception area
* Supporting seasonal health campaigns and wider practice initiatives
