A UK-based logistics organisation focused on integrating technology to enhance operational efficiency. Our client offers an innovative and supportive work environment where career progression and development are actively encouraged. Due to organisational growth and further expansion, a role has been created for an IT Service Desk Support.


Your new role

As a passionate and adept individual, your primary responsibility is to manage and execute a range of support tasks. Providing excellent servicing to both internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to improving the operations' productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1st and 2nd line support across various systems and services.
2. Resolve incidents and service requests via phone, email, and ITSM platform.
3. Troubleshoot issues in Windows-based software and business-critical applications across warehouse, transport, and office settings.
4. Deploy and maintain IT hardware including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and warehouse equipment.
5. Support IT aspects of site openings, closures, and relocations.
6. Manage and resolve tickets in line with SLAs.
7. Identify trends and contribute to service improvement.
8. Use monitoring tools to proactively detect and escalate issues.
9. Collaborate with other tech teams to ensure smooth system transitions.
10. Participate in out-of-hours support rota.
11. Occasional travel to other UK sites for support and project delivery.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this highly visible role, you will have:

12. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
13. Strongmunication skills for supporting users with varying technical abilities.
14. High attention to detail in system builds and documentation.
15. Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently.
16. Full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle.
17. Willingness to travel as needed.
