We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, based in either Derby or Nottingham. You will work across a wide range of projects supporting clients on complex and high-value programmes, with an initial emphasis on the Water sector.
Responsibilities
* Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills - technical and others - to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver excellent services.
* You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.
* The successful candidate will have a passion to work with national infrastructure clients, operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with key clients.
* This role requires you to apply your commercial and procurement expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of commercial, procurement and supply chain requirements, focusing on maximizing value within the supply chain ecosystem for clients.
Qualifications
* The ideal candidate is a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas, or UK Public Sector organisations.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.
* Member of, or working towards Membership of, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent recognised body.
* Has experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application.
* Has experience of line management or leading a team, with the ability to provide clear direction, manage performance and support individual development.
* Has the ability to work in a client-facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.
* Has strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.
* Has the ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills in order to deliver excellent service to clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to the best of their ability.
* Has business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, and client relationship management.
