If youre a qualified engineer with rotating equipment experience, wed like to present the chance to join a market leading pump specialist with more than 25 years experience in Total Asset Management.
As a Workshop Fitter, youll ensure the accurate stripping and assessment of rotating equipment, liaising with the administration staff and Workshop Supervisor, and completing RCAs.
This job is predominantly based within workshop, although on-site work will be required to carry out pump repairs and you may be required to work away from home to support various contracts.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assess rotating equipment repairs for spare parts and re-build of pumps, gear boxes, fans and
rotating equipment
2. Communicate coherently and liaise with the internal organisation
3. Be part of the on call team, this can be from 1 in 2 to 1 in 6 weeks dependent on staffing
4. Ensure accurate assessments are completed and in a timely manner
5. Liaise with suppliers and complete the accurate costing sheets and work with the supervisor in
order to provide timely quotation
6. Attend customer sites and branches to support other workshops
7. Promote excellence in working practices, including:

Essential Skills & Experience
8. Full Mechanical apprenticeship
9. Good engineering practice and ability to use engineering measuring equipment
10. Good range of engineering experience, including rotating equipment, bench fitting, and on-site diagnosis
11. Desire to provide exceptional customer service and be a contact point for local customers
12. Eager to assist in the continuous improvement of the organisation

13. Electrical training and basic electrical experience
14. Site work experience

16. Pump OEM training
17. Site work experience
18. Experience in any of the following; Condition monitoring, Mechanical seal repair, Laser Alignment training
