We have partnered with a luxury womenswear brand looking for a commercially minded Product Merchandiser to join the business.
Role Purpose: The Womenswear Product Merchandiser drives the end-to-end seasonal merchandising process for luxury womenswear categories, balancing creative vision with commercial performance.
The role owns assortment planning, Open-to-Buy (OTB) and margin delivery across regions and channels, ensuring the collection is curated, priced, and phased to maximise full-price sell-through while protecting brand equity.
For this role you will have a strong background in luxury womenswear fashion, excellent analytical skills and strong range building knowledge as well as in depth knowledge of luxury womenswear market, with ECommerce as well as Retail.
Key Responsibilities
* Assortment & OTB: Build seasonal and in-season assortment plans by region and channel. Own OTB, intake margin (IMU), and stock targets; manage cash/stock flow and risk.
* Range Planning & Lifecycle: Partner with Design and Product Development on range architecture, fabric/yield, and critical path. Set pricing architecture with Merch/Finance and oversee product lifecycle, including markdown, RTV, and stock turn.
* Trading & Performance: Lead weekly trade meetings, analysing style/SKU productivity, WOS, ROS, and regional performance. Recommend in-season actions including reorders, cancels, chases, and swaps.
* Channel Strategy: Tailor assortments for boutiques, wholesale, and e-commerce. Deliver door- and cluster-level plans, aligning with key accounts on JBPs and exclusives. Monitor competitor movement, trends, and client feedback; feed insights into future assortments and in-season pivots.
* Quality & Sustainability: Support product integrity, compliance, and responsible sourcing standards. Escalate quality issues and collaborate with PD/QA to resolve.
* Data & Systems: Produce concise reporting packs for leadership, championing a test-and-learn approach.
* People: Coach and develop the Assistant Merchandiser/BAA team.
Experience & Capabilities
* Proven track record in merchandising luxury/premium womenswear (e.g., RTW, knitwear, tailoring, dresses) with international market exposure.
* Strong commercial acumen across OTB, margin management, pricing, and lifecycle governance.
* Skilled at analysing trade, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing cross-functional decision-making.
* Advanced Excel skills with working knowledge of PLM/ERP and reporting tools.
* Clear aesthetic judgment aligned to luxury standards and brand DNA.
* Experience managing and developing junior team members.
* Willingness to travel during market seasons and key launches.
