GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. As a TA, this role offers the chance to work closely with teachers and pupils, supporting academic progress, social growth, and emotional well-being within an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide classroom support to the teacher during lessons and learning activities. Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and other subject areas across the curriculum. Offer 1:1 or small-group support to children who may require additional help. Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement in learning. Help maintain classroom organisation, resources, and displays. Record observations of pupil progress to help inform planning. Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are upheld at all times. Requirements for Teaching Assistant: Experience supporting children in an educational setting is desirable. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young learners. Strong communication and teamwork skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
