About the Role:
We are seeking to recruit a Plumber based at our Cambridge campus within the Estates & Facilities Services. The role involves undertaking planned refurbishment works on ARU’s washrooms and reactive maintenance across university buildings. Responsibilities include completing pre- and post-task documentation, managing routine and complex installations, repairs, compliance checks, and ensuring all facilities meet high safety and efficiency standards.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant building services engineering discipline, or NVQ Level 2 with extensive relevant experience in plumbing and commercial washroom installations. Demonstrable experience and ongoing professional development relevant to the role are also valued.
Applicants should have previous hands-on field experience, be IT literate, capable of preparing specifications and contracts for maintenance work, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
