Location: This role is based in mainly in Telford and you will be required to come in 2 days per week, but there may be occasionally requirement to travel and work at other locations.
Rate: up to £493.76 p/d Umbrellainside IR35
Clearance required: Active SC Clearance
Role purpose / summary
The Data Contract Area (DCA) Delivery Area focuses on managing projects which are commissioned from Capgemini by the clients Data Platform Services (DPS) under the LDW and BD&A Contracts.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Data Portfolio to lead the delivery of a complex data project. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large highly complex client project of new technology. This role will involve working hand-in-hand with all key stakeholders to manage, on DPS behalf, the end-to-end delivery of critical projects across multiple delivery groups within DPS.
This will involve working with the client and other suppliers during Design, Analysis, Build and Test to deliver the project, being responsible for the Capgemini response and subsequent delivery. You will work with Project Managers/Delivery Leads from the client, DPS, Capgemini and 3rd parties to integrate delivery and ensure dependencies are identified, planned and managed to completion.

What youll do
Proposal writing and impacting process for both work packages and statements of work.
Direct the execution and implementation of the Project, using agile project management and delivery methods.
Develop and maintain project schedules and work with the delivery team to establish a delivery rhythm, balance priorities, manage risks, dependencies, and remove blockers.
Ensure all products are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage of delivery using the clients DPS process.
Manage stakeholders and other suppliers to ensure good relations and effective communication.
Communicate and report effectively.
Be accountable for your Project budgets to ensure delivery of value, accurate forecasting and management of change.
Lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, having knowledge and experience to provide guidance and support. Ensure teams are able to work effectively by having a productive working environment
Predict staff requirements to enable effective resourcing
What youll bring -
Experience of managing large IT projects including integration of multiple delivery areas.
Evidence of strong risk and dependency management
Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management skills, ability to build productive relationships
Commercial and Financial Experience.
Proven leadership and motivational skills
Ability to work independently and with the client, with flexibility about work content with ability to balance priorities across multiple tasks at the same time
Experience of delivery using an iterative/agile methodology and collaboration tools (e.g. Agile/SCRUM, Atlassian Jira, Agile for Scrum, Confluence, SAFe)
Service transition experience with history of transitioning large projects to live service
Capgemini EM Certification (Level 1 preferable)
The following would be an advantage but is not essential:
Previous experience of successful delivery on the clients account.
Experience of working with the Bid and Sales teams
Professional Scrum Master or SAFe Qualification
Understanding of DevOps and how to build effective product/feature teams
