This onsite role requires reporting to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Your main responsibility will be developing mechatronic systems to improve our aerodynamics development processes for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions, contributing significantly to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do
1. Design, develop, and integrate complex mechatronic systems for automotive testing applications.
2. Create system architectures and specifications meeting product requirements.
3. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop solutions.
4. Coordinate with external suppliers to select components and technologies.
5. Conduct system testing, analysis, and debugging for reliability and performance.
6. Manage prototype and production solutions, including mechanical design, PCB layout, and software integration.
7. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering with a successful track record.
* Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system design.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, CATIA).
* Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming (C, C++, Python).
* Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, control systems, and power electronics.
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
* Master’s degree in related fields.
* Experience with automotive, motorsports, or aerodynamics testing.
* Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink.
* Expertise in CAD and mechanical design.
* Knowledge of control systems and theory.
