Job Description:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team of five. The role will report directly to Head of Operations.
The role will predominantly focus on the leadership & development of the engineering team as well as a strong focus on continuous improvement activities on site. This will include, process improvements and cost efficiencies etc.
Its an exciting time to join the business as we are growing & making changes to the site, which will include new lines and projects.
* To maintain and supervise the Engineering team including carrying out regular One-To-Ones and PDR’s in line with local and group policy.
* To Implement Monitor and control a Pre-Planned Maintenance program suitable for Customer and certification level audits
* Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
* Control the engineering budget spend, working closely with both the head of operations and the accounts department.
* Work closely with the Production and Planning teams to ensure the required levels of reliability and efficiency from the plant are maintained
The Person:
* Experienced in a similar manufacturing environment, preferably food or FMCG
* Proven leadership experience, helping develop team members engineering skills.
* Ability to come to the table with “solutions not problems”
* Skills; I.T., Problem Solving and Communication.
