Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Home
Location: Llanelli Area
Salary: £43,000 - £49,000 per annum, based on experience, qualifications, and overall skillset.
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working options are available (7:30-3:30 or 8-4pm), with the potential for 8 hours per week of working from home. Flexibility is required for emergencies or staffing gaps.
* A reputable care provider is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bedded children's home in the Llanelli area.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high standards of care and positive outcomes for children. You will lead and develop a staff team to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.
The home has achieved excellent CIW inspection ratings for Wellbeing, Care and Support, and Leadership and Management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a staff team to provide child-centred, strengths-based care.
* Ensure the home operates in line with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (RISCA) and Social Care Wales requirements.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.
* Oversee the completion and monthly review of personal plans for each child.
* Manage admissions and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Supervise and support Team Leaders through monthly supervision and development plans.
* Take an active role in safeguarding, ensuring all concerns are escalated appropriately.
* Undertake quality assurance of all documentation and complete monthly audits.
* Attend and contribute to reviews, strategy meetings, and senior management team meetings.
* Work alongside the rota manager to ensure consistent staffing levels and cover shifts when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Must hold, or be actively working towards, a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care - Children's Residential Management.
* Must be registered with Social Care Wales or be eligible to apply.
* A clear and current knowledge of the legislation, regulations, and statutory guidance relevant to managing children's homes in Wales.
* Proven ability to plan, implement, and review personal plans for children in residential care.
