The Tides is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team.
* Pay Rate:£12.90 per hour
* Full time: 42 hours a week, 7am to 7pm (sleep ins may be required)
Location
The Tides is located in Broadstone in Poole, Dorset. The home offers residential support for eight males and females with learning disability and physical disabilities. We are within walking distance of the local shops and a bus stop.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
* Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed clothes
* Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
* Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
* Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
* Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
* Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature

* Competent in verbal and written English
* A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
