Job Title: Programme Leader – UPS Location: Northumberland Start Date: Ideally before 1st September 2025 (to allow for a handover period) End Date: 15th November 2025 Contract Type: Temporary (Approx. 12 weeks) Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Programme Leader to provide temporary cover for a 12-week period, supporting our UPS provision during the absence of a current staff member undergoing surgery in mid-August. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate delivery for three cohorts of students (approx. 36 learners), ensuring continuity and quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across the programme. Key Responsibilities: * Lead on the planning, delivery, and quality assurance of the UPS programme. * Manage the academic progress, engagement, and welfare of students across three cohorts. * Support and guide delivery staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality learning. * Oversee internal quality assurance processes and contribute to external inspections or audits if required. * Liaise with curriculum managers and stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the programme. * Act as the main point of contact for programme-level issues during the cover period. Requirements: * Proven experience in a programme leadership or curriculum management role. * Strong understanding of the UPS curriculum and relevant teaching frameworks. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Ability to support both students and teaching staff effectively. * Available to start as soon as possible to enable a smooth transition before 1st September. Desirable: * Experience working with similar-sized cohorts and managing delivery across multiple groups. * Familiarity with quality processes in a further education or training environment. * Managing a department
