Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Account Manager to drive growth across the South-West and Wales region. This role focuses on expanding sales within diverse B2B and B2C channels, including retail partners, schools, and direct-to-parent services. The ideal candidate will excel at penetrating existing accounts, prospecting new opportunities, and managing a varied portfolio (from small businesses to larger retailers) while balancing strategic account management with hands-on customer engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Retail Channel: Increase sales within retail accounts by introducing new uniform designs, expanding product ranges, or converting competitors’ customers. Adhere to promotional timelines, pricing frameworks, and lead times to maximise revenue. Support retailers in school engagement (e.g., presentations, prospecting) to drive sales where necessary. Set account-specific targets, monitor performance, and report on fluctuations. 2. Direct-to-School Channel: Cultivate relationships with schools, governing bodies, and parent associations to secure uniform contracts. Present new uniform designs, negotiate promotions, and ensure orders meet deadlines. Update pricing systems, communicate product launches, and forecast seasonal growth. Deliver presentations at school intake evenings and stakeholder meetings where necessary. 3. TRUTEX Direct (B2C): Manage documentation for school uniform requirements, ensuring accuracy for print deadlines. Upsell new products or uniform updates to maximise school revenue. Coordinate with Joint Venture retailers to align orders with school needs. Limited post-contract customer contact, therefore requiring meticulous attention to detail. 4. Supplementary Responsibilities: Manage clearance stock by developing wholesale strategies with the sales team. Help nurture small national accounts ( Stay agile to adapt to evolving business needs and explore new market opportunities. Key Competencies & Experience: Essential: 3-4 years of proven sales success, ideally in B2B/B2C environments. Ability to cold-call, prospect, and identify decision makers (“gatekeepers”). Exceptional organisational skills with a talent for prioritisation and journey planning. Strong interpersonal skills to navigate relationships with diverse stakeholders (e.g., school staff, retailers). Proficiency in basic IT systems and CRM tools. Full driving license and willingness to travel extensively. Preferred: Experience in apparel, education, or uniform sectors. Familiarity with Joint Venture models or wholesale/clearance strategies.
