Job description
Following the award of several new projects, a leading engineering organisation is looking to add Senior Quantity Surveyors with experience of working on civil engineering projects to their Cardiff based team.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial deliver of a wide spectrum of civil engineering projects in the nuclear, highways, rail, energy and defence markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administering NEC suite of contracts
2. Providing pre and post-contract quantity surveying services
3. Managing the commercial aspects of Infrastructure projects in sectors including highways, rail, energy, utilities, MOD, and aviation
4. Preparing and reviewing procurement documents required for ITT (Invitation to Tender)
5. Mentoring and coaching junior staff members
6. Developing and maintaining client relationships
7. Innovating sustainable and cost-effective solutions for clients
Job Requirements:
8. Experience in quantity surveying with a commercial degree or equivalent qualification
9. Experience of working on civil engineering projects
10. Working towards or holding a recognised chartership
11. Proficiency in NEC contract administration
12. Good understanding of construction techniques and technology
13. Experience in managing medium-sized projects with minimal supervision
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
15. Strong written and oral communication skills
16. Proven ability to work effectively within multiple teams and with various stakeholders
