We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care and Substance Misuse team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a category C & D Prison located in Doncaster. Capacity of 1400 men. Central to Doncaster so good transport links, parking, on‑site gym, PPG pathway for various career development opportunities.

Shifts vary and cover nights, days and weekends.
Salary
£23.00 per hour

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference, as defined throughout our bespoke Health in Justice competency framework.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence‑based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. Use your skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to your patient group whilst being supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of.

What we'll look for in you
We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for a fair and inclusive health‑care access to all.
* Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
* Experience of working with opiate‑dependent patients.
* Sound clinical substance‑misuse knowledge.
* Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
