1 post - Fixed Term for One Year
(Indicative 6th Aug 2025 – 5th August 2026 but negotiable start date)
Now in its 11th year our successful Clinical Fellowship in Endoscopy programme is seeking a new Full-time Fixed Term Clinical Fellow (Post CCT or as OOPE) to join the dynamic team of Endoscopists in NHS Tayside.
This post offers an opportunity to obtain further training in HPB endoscopic techniques alongside endoscopic service delivery. The post would suit a candidate looking to achieve any of the following:
* Training/exposure to ERCP and EUS
* Exposure to Cholangioscopy
* Alongside consolidation/enhancement of therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy skills including polypectomy.
There will be the opportunity to deliver therapeutic OGD, including emergency haemostatic procedures as part of your weekly job plan.
This is a fixed term (1 year) 10 session position and the exact job plan is negotiable being tailored to the successful candidate however an indicative job plan would consist of a mix of:
Endoscopic Service Delivery Lists (5 sessions), Endoscopic Training Lists (2 sessions), Biliary Patient Clinic (1 session), MDT Attendance (0.5 sessions), CPD/Research Sessions (1 session) and Administration Time (0.5 sessions).
Involvement in the active clinical research of the department, completion of a Train the Endoscopy Trainers Course and teaching on the local JAG accredited endoscopy training courses will be encouraged.
There is no requirement for ward work or on call.
CCST/CCT/CESR (CP) in Gastroenterology or appropriate Specialty is desirable or approval for OOPE will be required.
