We’re working with with a globally leading offshore engineering company that is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to drive improvements across a complex cloud environment. Sitting within the IT Security function and reporting into senior security leadership, this role requires a strong cybersecurity foundation combined with solid enterprise IT knowledge.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal IT teams and external service providers to ensure cloud platforms align with modern security standards and best practices.
The role can be hybrid out of the clients offices in Aberdeen or London, as well as fully UK remote.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement security solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
* Develop, maintain, and enforce cloud security policies and procedures.
* Perform regular security reviews, risk assessments, and audits.
* Manage and support security controls within Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
* Provide support during incidents, contributing to problem and change management processes.
* Maintain and optimise cloud security tools and platforms.
Required Experience
* Strong background in IT with a focus on cloud technologies (Azure preferred).
* Experience delivering security within modern digital or cloud-first environments.
* Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory (Purview is a plus).
* Experience working within Windows Server environments.
* Scripting capabilities, ideally with PowerShell.
