Overview
Business Development Sales Executive / Client Account Manager who is personable, organised and highly motivated with excellent customer service and business development skills is required to manage existing client accounts whilst developing new business opportunities for a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing designer and retail company based in Par, Cornwall, South West England.
This role is office-based with travel to client sites as required. Full product training is provided. Salary: £40,000 OTE (basic salary £26,500 - £28,000 per annum) + benefits. Location: Par, Cornwall. Job type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Key responsibilities include managing existing client accounts, developing new business opportunities, and selling to businesses, wholesalers, interior designers and direct retailers. You will upsell where possible and ensure clients are serviced and new orders are processed quickly.
You will be based in the office when not visiting clients and must have the flexibility to travel; travel frequency may vary month to month.
Responsibilities
* Manage existing client accounts while developing new business opportunities for electrical lighting products sold to retail and wholesale markets.
* Sell to businesses, wholesalers, interior designers and direct to retailers.
* Upsell where possible and ensure clients are serviced and new orders are processed quickly.
* Travel to client sites as required; some periods may involve more frequent visits than others.
* Work from the office when not visiting clients.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in Sales / Account Management.
* Proven sales background; electrical sector experience is preferable but training will be provided.
* Experience with Microsoft Office / 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams.
* Desire to learn and improve product knowledge; good attention to detail.
* Excellent client interaction and organisation skills; polite, friendly, driven to succeed.
* Experience using CRM databases, notes, appointment calls and follow-ups.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and targets.
* Office-based with willingness to travel to client projects when required; availability to communicate outside UK hours if needed.
* Willingness to undertake training modules set by the company.
