About The Role
The Workdry Group has seen enormous growth over recent years. Due to this we’re pleased to be adding a Group Head of Communications into our friendly Marketing team, to help support and develop employee engagement throughout the group.
You will partner with the executive and senior leadership team to define, shape and deliver a cohesive communications strategy that clearly conveys the company’s visions, key objectives and transformation journey across all regions.
This role will play a pivotal part in aligning the company’s diverse business units, ensuring all communications are purposeful, have the end user in mind and resonate with colleagues at every level.

As the Group Head of Communications, you’ll get to:
1. Lead the development and execution of international communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the Group’s global business objectives and enhancing external and internal messaging.
2. Act as a central communications leader, connecting different areas of the business and collaborating with regional marketing teams to effectively share initiatives, news, and events across all geographies.
3. Drive the global internal communications strategy, aligning with the external strategy, leading campaigns that support transformation, employee engagement, and brand awareness on an international scale.
4. Work closely with key stakeholders to produce compelling multi-channel communications, including newsletters, emails, and digital content tailored to diverse audiences.
5. Manage and enhance the Group’s Intranet, ensuring it serves as a primary communications platform, maintaining structure, branding, and content updates.
6. Lead content creation for internal and external communication channels, incorporating copywriting, video production, and presentations to engage a diverse workforce.
7. Utilise data-driven insights and industry best practices to refine communication strategies that enhance engagement and effectiveness.
8. Organise and oversee global corporate events, including internal conferences and quarterly calls.
9. Collaborate with HR Partnering and Recruitment teams to develop and implement communication strategies that support talent acquisition and employee retention.
10. Maintain and oversee biographies for Board Members, ELT, and SLT, ensuring accurate representation of leadership across communication channels.
11. Partner with the Board, ELT, and SLT to enhance their visibility and positioning within the company, making them key representatives of the organisation.
Skills & Personal Attributes:
12. Track record in developing and delivering internal communication strategies for a global workforce (including non-office-based/frontline employees).
13. Ability to operate at an operational level with flexibility to adapt between strategic and hands-on approaches as needed.
14. Ability to craft a direction in an ambiguous environment and be adaptable to changing business requirements.
15. Exceptional copywriting skills coupled with a general understanding of behavioural and organisational psychology to create strong and professional communications to targeted groups of internal audiences at all levels.
16. Strong hands-on technical capability to deliver effective communications activity using appropriate tools across multiple channels - email platforms, creative skills using graphics, video and photography, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Town Halls etc.
17. Ability to spot opportunities, build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, whilst challenging the status quo.
18. Creative ability to design and deliver internal communications content in a simple and engaging way.
19. Commercial mindset, ensuring that the agenda is positioned within the broader business and wider industry/economic context, with a demonstrated ability to drive change.
20. Ability to work well within a team or autonomously, and comfortable with remote collaboration using Teams.
