About This Opportunity
Cumberland Council is seeking to appoint a Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of St. Cuthberts Garden Village.
Covering over 1,300 hectares, St Cuthbert’s Garden Village is a transformative new development on the edge of Carlisle, one of the largest proposals in northern England. It aims to deliver 10,000 new homes for approximately 23,000 residents within a high-quality environment. This project positions Carlisle at the heart of regional growth.
With the new St Cuthbert Local Plan progressing rapidly and the Carlisle Southern Link Road nearing completion, the community is moving into the delivery phase. The manager will play a key role, requiring excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, technical expertise, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead daily project coordination, including developing and implementing a delivery strategy.
2. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently.
3. Build effective partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Report progress and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Candidates should have substantial experience as a delivery manager or in similar planning or project management roles, with a strong understanding of regulations, land use, infrastructure, and environmental planning. The ability to manage multiple projects and innovate is essential.
