Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our growing team here at, The Facilities Coordinator will ensurethat the Haven Centre remains safe, functional, and welcoming for all participants, staff, and partner organisations. This role involves general maintenance, minor repairs, setting up spaces for sessions, and assisting with health and safety compliance

The Elsie Normington Foundation was established in 2013 to design and build The Haven Centre for children with learning difficulties and severe and complex needs. This centre for excellence was opened in 2023 and includes three respite suites, a café and play centre. The Foundation has a wider vision to inspire and facilitate change across the Highlands to support other groups to provide accessible spaces where children and families with severe and complex needs can connect and thrive.

We are looking for a new Team member as we look to grow our services.

The Role

This is a key role combining grants management and general administration including finance, HR and compliance tasks. You will work closely with the CEO to achieve successful funding applications, and strong financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Grants Management

* Research, identify and prepare suitable grant and funding opportunities based on ENF business plan(s) to fulfil key objectives within the ENF strategy
* Prepare, submit and manage grant applications
* Develop funded projects including monitoring grant income and expenditure
* Maintain engagement and communication with funders, ensuring timely drawdown of funds.
* Produce funder reports in line with funding agreements

General Administration

* Maintain accurate financial records (e.g. bookkeeping, invoicing, expenses)
* Create and manage budgets and cashflow for ENF including the Haven respite suites, café and playcentre
* Prepare financial reports for Trustees and management
* Ensure compliance with financial controls, charity law and ENF policies including maintaining insurance cover.
* Lead on HR activities, including recruitment processes, grievance and disciplinary procedures
* Maintain risk registers, policies, regulatory returns and procedures

Person Specification

* Excellent organisational and administrative abilities
* High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
* Confident using financial systems e.g. QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Head Office Team located at Granton Square, Edinburgh.

Autism Initiatives works positively alongside autistic people, their families and carers to provide specialist services tailored to each individual.

Our head office building is shared with our Edinburgh Outreach services, creating a closely connected working environment. As Receptionist you will act as the first point of contact, providing a friendly and professional service to all callers and visitors. You will undertake a variety of administrative duties to support the smooth and efficient operation of Head Office Scotland. Please refer to the job description for further detail.

This role is delivered as a job share between two post holders. Working days for this post will be Monday to Wednesday, with fixed working hours of 8.30 am – 4.30 pm.

Ideally you will have a working knowledge of reception duties including Microsoft Office packages. At times you will be dealing with multiple callers and visitors therefore you must be able to adapt your communication style and use your own initiative to problem solve. You will be part of a dedicated team providing high‑quality Housing Support and Care at Home to 2 adults who require support to live independently, maintain their home, and lead full and meaningful lives.

You will work within their home providing practical assistance, emotional support, and personal care, and encouraging independence, choice and dignity at all times.

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting individuals with varying needs, including learning and physical disabilities to achieve their goals and live safely in their communities.

What You’ll Do

* Provide person‑centred support based on individual support plans
* Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and budgeting
* Support individuals to manage and maintain their home
* Provide personal care, medication support, and health‑related tasks (training provided)
* Encourage independence, confidence and life skills development
* Support individuals to access community activities, appointments and social opportunities
* Maintain clear, accurate and confidential records
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals
* Respond to emergencies, including during night shifts and lone working situations

* Flexibility to work within a 24/7 shift rota
* Basic IT skills (for digital care recording)
* A willingness to work towards SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (if not already held)
* Driving licence (desirable but not essential for this role)
* Experience is welcome but not essential—full training will be provided. Your values and attitude are what matter most.

At Capability Scotland Riccarton Hub, we provide specialist daytime support and occasional 24-hour short break respite services, for adults with physical, learning and complex disabilities, promoting independence, inclusion, and wellbeing through personalised care and enriching activities.

We're focused on making our customers' time at Riccarton all about them and offer tailored and bespoke support plans.

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will work alongside a small group of team leaders to support our Service Manager in managing our team. As an experienced social care practitioner, you will ensure that our people continue to receive exceptional, person-centred support we provide by being responsible for:

* Rota management
* Staff management, supervision, recruitment, and development
* Managing customer activities
* Health and Safety
* Compiling and checking Care and Support plans for customers
* Management of medicines procedures
* Financial management for customers (dependent on service)
* Liaising with families, health and care professionals and social workers
* Sleepovers & on-call support (dependent on service – if appropriate additional payments are provided)

Hours – 18.5 hours per week. Predominantly Monday-Friday between 8.30am & 5.30pm (we are open to discuss doing hours over 2/3 days) & with occasional on-call cover required in our respite service, therefore a flexible approach to working is required.

Experience/qualifications/key skills required

Experience of working in a similar role and environment is desirable as is a willingness to take on any personal development opportunities. You should have a care related SVQ Level 4, or the willingness to gain this qualification in a given timescale. You should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
