A leading employee‑owned landscape and urban design practice is seeking talented and experienced Senior Landscape Architects to join its Cambridge or Peterborough studios. The practice is known for its landscape‑led approach to placemaking and collaborative working across regeneration, infrastructure, and public realm projects throughout the UK.
Both studios are based in vibrant, historic neighbourhoods within two of the country’s fastest‑growing cities. The teams have been instrumental in shaping these cities and beyond – delivering new communities and the infrastructure that supports them.
The Role
The Senior Landscape Architect will contribute to a broad range of projects, from strategic development promotion and landscape‑led masterplanning to major infrastructure and public realm schemes. The role involves close collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary design teams, with opportunities to take ownership of projects, mentor junior colleagues, and help shape the studio’s ongoing success.
Key Requirements
* Passion for the natural and built environment, with a strong interest in how places evolve and develop
* Degree in Landscape Architecture and practical experience within a consultancy environment
* Chartered status with the Landscape Institute (or working towards) preferred but not essential
* Strong conceptual design and public realm design skills
* Good understanding of the UK planning system and all RIBA work stages
* Proven technical experience from detailed design through to project delivery on site
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with clients and multidisciplinary teams
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, and ideally Revit
* Enthusiastic about collaborative working and contributing to a positive studio culture
* Desire to take on project management responsibilities and support the development of junior staff
* Landscape planning experience beneficial but not essential
