Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients, including salary calculations, deductions, taxes, pension contributions, and other statutory payments. Prepare and submit RTI (Real Time Information) submissions to HMRC. Calculate and process statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and other employee benefits. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data. Reconcile payroll accounts and produce reports for clients and internal management. Respond promptly to client queries regarding payroll, tax codes, and statutory payments. Assist with year-end procedures, including P60s, P11Ds, and other statutory reporting. Support onboarding of new clients and ensure payroll systems are set up correctly. Experience, Skills and Attributes Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau. Strong understanding of payroll legislation, RTI, Auto-Enrolment, and pensions. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, Xero, BrightPay, ADP) and MS Office applications.
