Overview
Seaford Ward is a 27‑bed Elderly Care Ward with four six‑bedded bays and three side rooms. We care for patients with multiple medical conditions, complex medication needs, and those requiring specialist support at home or in care settings. Patients may be acutely unwell, have dementia or delirium, mobility difficulties, a history of falls, or general frailty.
Responsibilities
* Provide delegated clinical procedures such as cannula insertion/removal, venepuncture, wound assessment, and simple dressings.
* Removal of urinary catheter (training will be provided).
* Support patients with complex care needs and contribute to high standards of patient care through teamwork and communication.
Qualifications and Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4), or Functional Skills, and the Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
* Hospital experience is desirable but not essential.
* Induction with all statutory and mandatory training will be completed for successful applicants.
