They're looking to expand their resident engineering team at a fully automated site in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting a 24/7 logistics operation that runs some of the most advanced equipment in the sector. What's on offer: Location: Stoke-on-Trent (ST3) – fully automated logistics & distribution site Salary: £45,444 base £5,000 shift allowance = £50,444 total Shifts: Monday–Friday rotating double days (6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6 incl. Sat AM finish) ?? Overtime: 1.5x Saturdays | 2x Sundays | double time after 10PM ? The equipment includes stacker cranes, conveyors, palletisers, A-frames, robotics, and wrapping systems — all integrated with Siemens S7 controls. You'll be responsible for: Delivering a 60/40 split of planned and reactive maintenance Electrical fault-finding on sensors, relays, contactors, and inverters Mechanical repairs on bearings, rollers, shafts, and pneumatics I/O checking on Siemens PLCs (no programming required) Supporting continuous improvement and ensuring safe working at height (up to 10m) Who fits well: Multi-skilled engineer with Level 3 qualification or higher Experience in automated, logistics, or FMCG environments Confident fault-finding and problem-solving under pressure Proactive and reliable, with strong teamwork and communication skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-invested, forward-thinking engineering business offering stability, technical development, and long-term career growth.
