Role Title: Lecturer in Hair and Beauty
Location: Yale
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31/08/2026. Part time 60.25% 22.3hrs
Salary: £ 32,304 - £49,934 (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern) Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine.
We currently have a vacancy for a lecturer in Hair and Beauty at our Yale campus.
The successful candidate will perform scheduled teaching to our Entry 3 and Level 1 learners, including preparation of learning materials, and marking of students’ work. They will also provide educational guidance and support for all students and act as a personal tutor when required.
Essential Requirements
1. A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification
2. Educated to a minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area
3. Awareness of the importance of quality standards within teaching
4. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such development
5. Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment
6. Be able to analyse and use key information to inform teaching and learning
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position
