The Marketing Manager will be the driving force behind FairPlay Sports Media’s transition to a football-first audience strategy. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing marketing initiatives that grow, engage, and retain football fans, leveraging cutting-edge BetTech innovations and AI-driven content automation. You will lead the charge in building highly engaged football communities across owned and operated platforms and social channels, ensuring that football becomes the dominant audience segment within our UK portfolio. This includes developing creative acquisition and retention strategies for football subscriptions, integrating Bet Builder and predictive tools into marketing campaigns, and delivering data-led lifecycle marketing to maximize customer lifetime value. You will be responsible for : Football Audience Growth: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase football traffic and engagement across Oddschecker, WhoScored, and partner sites. Football Subscription Acquisition & Retention: Design and implement strategies to grow football-focused subscriptions and improve retention. BetTech Engagement: Promote Bet Builder and other football-related components through integrated campaigns, leveraging predictive data and contextualized content. Social Media Strategy: Oversea the Social Media team to build football communities and drive engagement across platforms such as X, YouTube, and TikTok. CRM Campaigns: Oversee the CRM Manager to deliver football-centric lifecycle campaigns, including onboarding, retention, and reactivation initiatives. You will be accountable for: Football Audience KPIs: Deliver measurable growth in football sessions, engagement metrics, and audience share across owned and operated platforms. Subscription Performance: Achieve football-focused subscription acquisition and retention targets, ensuring positive ROI on paid and organic campaigns. BetTech Engagement: Drive increased usage and visibility of Bet Builder and other football-related components, contributing to transactional revenue goals. Revenue Contribution: Ensure marketing initiatives directly support football-related revenue streams, including subscriptions, sponsorships, and BetTech transactions. Campaign Effectiveness: Own the performance of football marketing campaigns, reporting on KPIs, insights, and actionable recommendations to stakeholders. You will be supporting: Product Marketing Collaboration : Partner with the Product Marketing team to integrate football subscription tools into high-traffic areas and optimize acquisition and retention strategies. SEO & Digital PR Initiatives : Support efforts to future-proof football content against Google volatility through strategic outreach and SAIO best practices. Commercial Partnerships Activation : Assist in marketing activations for football sponsorships and strategic partners, ensuring campaigns align with audience growth o b jectives. Content & Design Teams: Work closely with creative teams to deliver compelling football-focused assets across all channels. Global Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to maintain brand consistency and leverage cross-market learnings for football campaigns. Your Skillset: 5 years in sports marketing, with proven experience in football audience development. Strong understanding of BetTech products and sports betting trends. Expertise in CRM, social media strategy, and data-driven marketing. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
